T O P I C R E V I E WOliviaaaHi all! I don't consider myself to be too much of a newbie to astrology.. I understand the basics. But there are still parts that allude me and are still a work in progress to figure out.So with this post I'd like the more advanced, if you will, to give some insight. To start off, I feel NOTHING like the Libra/Sag I'm supposed to be.. I suffer from extreme anxiety, self esteem issues, sometimes depression and am painfully shy.And I know it's 'cause of the harsh aspects in my chart. So, how does one go about turning those bad aspects into something good? That's what I always read.. just 'cause you have the bad aspects doesn't mean it has to play out that way.. I'm aware of them within my chart, but what I'm stuck on is the 'HOW'.. I don't know how to go about making them into something positive. So, please share how you've learned to manage them in your life!Hopefully it can be of some benefit to me and others. Ami AnneDear Oliviaa If you would like me to do a Personal reading post your chart with attention to me in the Personal readings forum To answer your question here. You have to really search your chart for both good and bad things You have to really build up your strengths. Some weaknesses have to simply be accepted such as if you are an earth void you may never be that organized. The Quincunx will help bring separate parts of you together. I am rocking on the quincunx now cuz it is putting me together However,it is really a more advanced aspect after one has worked hard on the basics I would love to do your chart with you if you are game. One warning ,I dig deep.I have an 8th house stellium of Gemini planets. What can I say Oliviaaa quote:Originally posted by Ami Anne:Dear Oliviaa If you would like me to do a Personal reading post your chart with attention to me in the Personal readings forum To answer your question here. I wouldn't want to be rude and put more on your plate..I had read about you having a quincunx between your Gemini and Scorpio planets..and go figure, my Mars in Gem is quincunx my Pluto in Scorpio.. how ironic. Ami AnneDarlingI would love it as long as you all cool about how I do it. I go back and forth.I joke.I am a student.I make mistakes Oliviaaa quote:Originally posted by Ami Anne:DarlingI would love it as long as you all cool about how I do it. Ami AnneOk post your chart attention to me and we can go from the beginning to see what are your strengths and what are your weaknesses.Have the quincunx lines on there ,too--the green lines We don't need asteroids at the beginning. If you have asteroids that conjunct major things that is OK but not a whole bumch cuz it makes the natal hard to read. Looking forward to it TaineberryI only have one aspect between my major planets that is NOT a hard aspect, so I spend a lot of time worrying about the same question you have asked. Basically, this is how I see it : A person who has hard aspects is likely to manifest negative outcomes when dealing with the issues relating to the planets concerned because most people operate from a p.o.v of ego and fear when faced with challenges. This is likely to trigger a destructive/self-destructive reaction.BUT when that same person becomes actively conscious and breaks away from their conditioned ego-reactions, they will find that they are capable of manifesting a powerfully positive response to the challenge posed by the square, accompanied by superior awareness and insight. The necessity for a conscious response is not so necessary for a person with a soft aspect between those same planets, as the challenges (internal and external) are likely to be less, and in any event that individual tends to respond automatically without much introspection in a way that will lead to beneficial result. They don't have too think about it, it just works out harmoniously without much effort. To put it in simple terms - the "soft aspects" work out well without you really having to understand why; but when/if "hard aspects" work out well, you will find that the owner has done much inner work to develop depth of understanding and awareness beforehand to make this possible. This is why hard aspects are sometimes considered to be "better" as growth aspects than soft aspects. With a soft aspect you can function pretty well in life without developing very much; but with a hard aspect you can't function well UNLESS you grow and develop a lot of awareness, which is what gives the Hard Aspect owner the ultimate edge.Hope this helps.Oliviaaa quote:Originally posted by Taineberry:I only have one aspect between my major planets that is NOT a hard aspect, so I spend a lot of time worrying about the same question you have asked.
